Kauman recommends the use of KAUCENTERbelts for facilities that require the qualities provided by KAUTEXR or KAUFLEXR belts and also the need to reduce the risk of the belt decentring. This belt has an additional weft with transversal rigidity with the same width as the central roller of the set of three.

This difference in flexibility between the middle of the belt and the edges is what keeps it always centred and transversally well adapted to the three rollers. As the rigid weft is slightly narrower than the central roller, if the belt is moved the middle cannot adapt to the side rollers and so always returns to its working position.

This stability makes the belt easy to guide and difficult for it to move sideways. If assembly has been correctly carried out, it is most unlikely that a belt will come off alignment. If it does, it should be centred with complementary accessories or by using this kind of belt. Thanks to the characteristics of the self-centring belt, it is the perfect solution for the frequent problem of belts moving sideways. Among other problems, this can lead to a loss in the belt’s carrying capacity, material falling off the belt and blocking the system, deterioration of the edges, a considerable reduction in operating time, etc.

Self-centring belts are appropriate when the requirements are highly demanding, with a high carrying capacity, high resistance, long useful life etc. In particular, it is especially useful in the following sectors; coal mining, thermal power plants, the extraction industry, iron and steel, metallurgy, cement plants, quarries, and sand and chemical plants.
